  1. Hello Max,

It is obvious you know quite a bit about videos. I have not used them much yet. I have bookmarked your site because it has so much good information about videos.

    Thank you.

    1. Hi Cheryl,

There will be more about videos shortly,… well, first we have to get the holidays out of the way 🙂

I’ll update on the video survey soon.

  2. Thanks Max!

I have to say, it is amazing how “desire” creates “answers”. I was just asking my husband yesterday about good ways to create videos. I do know that it is important to use videos in one’s marketing. I find I am NOT liking a lot of the videos out there, they are just music, some printed words, but really no message, that is not what “sells”, at least to me. I want to get the feel of the people behind the videos, like yours, they are great! I got a feel of who you are and what you are offering. I trusted you very early on, that is required these days!

I can hardly wait to read the “gems” you shared me!

    Thanks much!
    Lorna

  3. Hi Max,

Thanks for the gifts, the timing is perfect…

Please let me know if you get the Mac version.

    Best regards

    Alex

    1. Hi Alex,

Thanks for stopping by. Long time no speak.

I’ll update it for the Mac as soon as I can get my hands on a Mac. Having said that, I just bought my daughter a Macbook but I am not so sure that I’ll be allowed the use I’d need to sort everything now. I’m working on it, though.

One good thing about the Mac: Really useful software is not expensive, unlike some of the stuff for Windows.

Just use the same principles as for Windows. It works.

  4. Hi Max,

What a great post and technique. I went to take the survey and gave my opt-in.
Your video guide and ebook guide to start creating videos is a godsend.

    1. Thanks, Giofranco.

I look forward to seeing your videos.

After a few hours a patterns is already emerging from the answers to the questionnaire. I’ll post a pie chart or two once I’ll have large enough numbers (I don’t dare talk about statistical significance 🙂 ).

  5. Hi Max,
What a great example of market research Max.
I would truly like to know how you organised the survey – was it Survey Monkey? If you get the time can you please shoot me a quick email as I thought the whole process was very professional.

As I have been slowly building my list the idea of surveying them so I can get to know them a little better, has been bubbling around in my head for a week or so (you have gone one step further by putting it on your blog)

So many, many thanks Max…this blog post visit was very special to me

    1. Thank you, Pete.

      Nope, no monkey involved 🙂
Two reasons I didn’t use Surveymonkey or others: I wanted to redirect people to the download page immediately when they hit send, and I didn’t want a limit imposed.

Of course, what’s the point asking people about video without using video to demonstrate its effectiveness? That’s why I decided to keep it in-house. I’ll write up how I did it shortly.

In brief: use the Create Form function of any html editor – I used Kompozer – then add the formmail code from your hosting provider. I use Hostgator; they have great example pages for this.

      I hope this helps.

      Max
