  1. Hi Max,

I really enjoyed and got a lot out of your videos Max.
You are quite a natural in front of the camera mate and that is something many people never achieve.
The basic keys you refer to can be applied to all aspects of our lives and I guess the trick is to ensure we keep a balance between work and family.

It is just so easy to get totally immersed into a project and forget that we have other far more important aspects of our life to attend to. Maybe that’s just been my experience but I did get a wake up call from my wife recently when shes asked me if my visits to our MWA3.0 blogs were more enjoyable than our family time!!!! That was definitely right between the eyes and she was right.

What I am saying is your basic steps can and MUST be applied to your important relationships in life.

Thanks again for an very thought provoking post – by the way my wife watched the videos as well and you now have a new Thai fan!!!

    Well done mate

    1. Thank you for your comment, Pete. I appreciate it and also that I now have a Thai fan base. 🙂

You are absolutely right about the balance that we need to strike between life and business. It has always been my aim not to belong to the class of people who at the end say “I wish I had spent more time with my son/daughter/wife/family.” There is a price to pay, though. Fortunately, this price can be measured. A finite loss, not priceless.

And, yes again, these four keys can be applied to anything that needs a plan. Making a success of your business is only one application, making a success of your life is definitely a bigger one.

OK, close down your laptop and say hi to your wife from me. 🙂

  2. Hi Max,

I enjoyed your presentations (all of them) very much. You have a good presence for video. I look forward to more from you.

I tried a video but hid behind a hat and dark glasses. It was an experiment mainly to try being in front of the camera. I have done a few screen capture vids which I enjoyed doing.

Anyway, I digress. Your video contained great information and I will be keeping the mnemonics in mind as I progress.

    All the best,

    David

    1. David,

Congratulations for plucking up the courage and stepping in front of the camera, even in disguise. This is the most important first step.

About my ‘presence’ in front of the camera: well, thank you. I’ll let you in on a secret (but, please, don’t tell anyone). What you see in the video above is take no. 15. If I had the courage (which I don’t) I’d suggest to go back and look at my first talking head video on this blog. You’ll see the difference. Presence can be learned. And still vastly improved.

Thank you for just having answered one of the most important questions in my video marketing survey.

      Keep doing it!

  3. Max:

Awesome video! It is really packed with great content. Plus you help make it easy to remember with the acronyms “GROW and don’t be KRAS; LEARN and you’ll be LUCKY”. I love using acronyms even though I typically do not come up with them myself.

You have been very busy in the boardroom.

    Thanks!

    – Rick

    1. Thanks, Rick.

Yes, acronyms are helpful. Had to scratch my head, though, about what to do with KRSA 🙂

      Now back to the boardroom…

  4. Hi Max.
I see you are perfecting your knowledge and video presentation “skills”. Good stuff and foundation to any success…
These steps can be applied to anything, from forming relationships, financial security, recognition, leadership; you fill in the dots…
5 Steps: Useful Knowledge applied with Effort increases Ability, this produces Confidence which then leads to having Initiative and usefulness = Success

    1. You’re absolutely right, Rod. These 4 keys apply to anything that is just a little more than a stroll in the park.

I like the introduction of confidence building in our sequence:
Knowledge + Effort leads to Ability. Ability with action generates your first success which leads to confidence to carry on and build on it. I shall take this on board.

      Thanks.
