My head is still swimming with information overload after last night’s webinar with Alex (module 4).
The message, in a nutshell: “If you want traffic, get a blog. It works.” Who am I to question words of wisdom? That’s why I set up my blog immediately after his introductory webinar in April.
I started on April 21, according to Google Analytics. If you haven’t got it, get it. Google Analytics is indispensible not only for our life as Internet marketers but also for the competition. I checked last night while Alex was presenting. Without any specific action to drive traffic, my blog has had 48 unique visitors. Not a lot, but considering that this is a brand new blog and, in addition to a couple of standard pages, I only have 5 blog posts, I wonder where these 48 unique visitors came from. Oh yes, that was just after midnight. By this morning it had grown to 52.
I have to fess up one thing, though: I link my blog to my Twitter account so that every time I have a new post, a tweet goes out. Which means that so far, six or seven tweets have gone out. Not enough to explain all visitors, especially as most of my Twitter followers seem to be pretty non-responsive. A few visitors came from the blog of a friend where I had left one comment and then she had left a comment on mine. Magic. All I have to do now, I guess, is multiply this magic.
In Alex’s drawing, the blog looked like a tree of life. No surprise, really, as it gives us what we need: targeted traffic, and it warms up cold traffic; it builds relationships, trust and credibility; it is interactive; it provides support, feedback, ideas, and everything else we need.
In my next posts, I’ll reveal a few cool blog building tips that I picked up at the London Lunch a couple of weeks ago. And if you have any questions, just ask.
Hi Max:
I think you are overestimating where your traffic might be in next one month, but certainly, certainly, you’re perhaps underestimating your own traffic in next one year 🙂
Great blog — really liked your style of writing.
Quick feedback on your posting on Alex’s forum — you may want to spell out complete URL in your signature than highlighting only your bloglink by saying, My Blog. Think about branding bro!
Take care
Thanks & Regards

Max,
Apologies for previous brief comment but was rudely interrupted with a power stoppage!
I really appreciated your site and the professional look you have created – its simplicity is very effective. Sorry mate I will not contribute to your avatar recommendations – creativity is not my long suit.
Hopefully we can share a few experiences of our wild journey with Alex – best wishes from Thailand
Hi Max,
Wow mate…I am very impressed with your blog and it’s hard to believe you only started it in late April. Maybe your years of experience in MLM etc. helped you get SO FAR SO FAST.
Hi Max, just stopping by to say hello, but was totally blown away by your blog!
I really need to be getting on with this, just checked my google analytics after reading yours, and I have new 42 visits and 22 unique visitors since yesterday, before that it has sat at 4 visitor for a month, so once again Alex is right, blog and they will come to you, from all over the world.
I think you have a very well organised layout which is bright and easy to read.
Thanks for you kind comment, Hiro. I had a look at your blog and that gave me an idea :-). I’ll put my plugin list here. It might be useful to someone.
